How We Approach AI
We measure AI against the process it would replace, at real volume. On one of Paul Laudeman's enterprise engagements, the measurement came back at up to 150 times the cost of the code it would have replaced, and his recommendation was not to ship. Most firms selling AI do not get paid when the answer is no.

One guided digital form generates about 15 state, federal and district documents as structured output. Passwordless authentication and an assisted kiosk mode designed for an older workforce. Delivered against a deadline that could not move, and now on a recurring maintenance retainer.

Built a custom claims-based authorization framework — chosen over the default role model because the business needed fine-grained permissions that roles could not express — and a “Who Am I” diagnostic that collapsed permissions debugging from a multi-step investigation to a single view. Later teams on the platform adopted both patterns.

Most recently lead .NET engineer on Virginia Department of Transportation applications, through TEKsystems.
